The ACSR: ISIS certifications are designed to ensure that you have both the experience and knowledge required to install, configure, administer and support the ISIS | 7500 and ISIS | 7000 systems, or the smaller ISIS | 5500 and ISIS | 5000 systems. Both are recommended for technical support staff, managers, installers, and advanced administrators who need to install, maintain, or support Avid ISIS shared storage solutions.

Achieving certification as an ACSR: ISIS | 7500 is the next step on the path towards Avid Certified Support Representative: Elite status.  ACSR: ISIS | 5500 does not lead towards becoming an ACSR: Elite.

Note: ACSR: ISIS | 7500 was only a valid option within the ACSR: Elite certification program until December 31, 2017. Currently only ACSR: Avid NEXIS is the recognized Avid storage system certification for someone wishing to attain ACSR: Elite certification status.

What do I have to do to be certified?

Certification is granted solely based on passing the relevant ACSR: ISIS certification exam. Course attendance is optional, though highly recommended.

What is the difference between the ACSR: ISIS certifications

The ACSR: ISIS | 7500 certification validates an individual’s skills on the full range of ISIS systems, including the ISIS | 7500 and ISIS | 5500 systems. The ACSR: ISIS | 5500 certification certifies an individual’s competencies only on the smaller scale ISIS | 5000 and ISIS | 5500 systems. The ACSR | ISIS | 5500 certification does not apply toward ACSR | Elite status.

  • For ACSR: ISIS | 7500 certification, take the UN422 exam
  • For ACSR: ISIS | 5500 certification, take the UN425 exam

What are the prerequisites?

Successful candidates will have extensive Avid ISIS experience on the platform(s) they will be certified to support—ISIS | 7500, ISIS | 7000, ISIS | 5500, and ISIS | 5000 platforms.

Although course attendance is not required to take the certification exam, Avid strongly recommends candidates attend either the ACSR Avid ISIS | 5000/7000 Series System Support (UN422) or ACSR Avid ISIS | 5000 Series System Support (UN425) course. Both courses, with their hands-on training, will help build the skills and competencies required for certification.

What do I have to do to maintain certification?

Once you have made the investment to become an ACSR, maintaining your Avid Certification enables you to show your skills and capabilities are current, and provides you with access to the wealth of premium level technical content made available to ACSR’s. You’ll also be able to participate and benefit from interaction with peers within the global ACSR community. Recertification does not mandate training attendance, but Avid’s blend of classroom and online recertification training make it easier and faster to maintain your ACSR status.
