Avid Certified Support Representative: MediaCentral Platform

The platform provides the utmost security and protection, while enabling you to create and deliver content with Avid, as well as third-party solutions you choose to use. Individuals tasked with installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining a platform this advanced require equally advanced skills and competencies, and only the Avid Certified Support Representative certification is designed to test and validate those skills. Should you need backup support, ACSR status gains access to Avid's senior support team, as well as to the worldwide community of Avid Certified Support Representatives.

We offer two different versions of the ACSR: MediaCentral Certification. The first is for the legacy platform—ACSR: MediaCentral Platform. To be able to take the legacy certification exam candidates must hold the certification status of ACSR: Interplay | Production.

The second type of MediaCentral certification is for our latest platform—ACSR: MediaCentral | Cloud UX. Candidates are encouraged to hold the certification status of ACSR: Interplay | Production, but it is not required.

If you have completed all prior ACSR certifications in the pathway, either the ACSR: MediaCentral | Cloud UX or ACSR: MediaCentral Platform will be the final step toward achieving the distinction of becoming an ACSR: Elite.

What do I have to do to be certified?

Certification is granted solely based on passing the ACSR: MediaCentral Platform or Cloud | UX certification exam. Course attendance is optional, though highly recommended.

What are the prerequisites?

For MediaCentral Platform (Legacy) ACSR Certification:

The Avid Certified Support Representative: Interplay | Production certification is required prior to application to sit the ACSR: MediaCentral Platform exam. Successful candidates will also have extensive experience on the Avid MediaCentral Platform. Although course attendance is not required to take the certification exam, Avid strongly recommends candidates attend the Avid MediaCentral Platform (WG453) course.

For the MediaCentral | Cloud UX ACSR Certification:

Although course attendance is not required to take the MediaCentral | Cloud UX Certification exam, Avid strongly recommends candidates attend the Avid MediaCentral Cloud | UX (CX454) course. We also recommend the Avid Certified Support Representative: Interplay | Production certification, but it is not required. Successful candidates will also have extensive experience on the Avid MediaCentral Platform.

Both the WG453 and the CX454 courses, with their extensive hands-on training, will help build the knowledge and skills needed to pass the certification exam.

In addition, candidates should understand the terminology, methods and processes used for Avid products, as well as have a thorough understanding of the system’s architecture and how the required hardware components and software configurations are integrated. This includes:

Once you have made the investment to become an ACSR, maintaining your Avid Certification enables you to show your skills and capabilities are current, and provides you with access to the wealth of premium level technical content made available to ACSRs. You’ll also be able to participate and benefit from interaction with peers within the global ACSR community. Recertification does not mandate training attendance, but Avid’s blend of classroom and online recertification training make it easier and faster to maintain your ACSR status.
