Overview

The Maestro | Designer eLearning (MD100EL) course provides a quick way to get up to speed with the basic features and functionality of Maestro | Designer, Avid’s state-of-the-art, real-time broadcast graphics creation solution.

This 2-hour eLearning course is divided into 12 lessons that guide students step-by-step through the system features and workflows. The course begins by familiarizing you with the overall broadcast environment and where Maestro | Designer fits into the workflow and then moves on to help you become comfortable with the overall user interface.

Once the foundation is set you will be taken through the main features of Maestro | Designer to learn to create a project and a scene. You’ll learn to add, position and manipulate assets and how to add keyframes to do simple animations like a lower third. The course continues with using exports, working with colors, materials, and textures.

The eLearning course covers roughly one day of the full 5-day classroom course.

Audience

This course is designed for:

  • Broadcast graphic designers and other broadcast studio personnel who rely on or interact with Maestro | Designer output in their line of work and wish to improve their knowledge
  • Broadcast solution technical staff who want to better understand how the use of Maestro | Designer may affect the systems they maintain

Prerequisites

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other graphic design programs is recommended
  • Basic knowledge of broadcast studio workflow and production is recommended

  • Be comfortable with the user interface
  • Understand basic features of Maestro | Designer
